The Honorable Dr. Carolyn McLaughlin, a proud Albany, New York native, has dedicated more than 30 years of her life to public service and the betterment of her community. Born and raised in the Capital city, Carolyn’s parents instilled in her a passion for and understanding of community at an early age.
A tireless advocate for community-life issues ranging from affordable housing to the restoration of abandoned property, childcare to senior care and services, health care to health equity, education reform to job creation, the war on crime to the war on economic and environmental justice, Dr. McLaughlin’s commitment to public service reflects her deep-rooted devotion to making Albany a better place for all.
